Entrepreneurship in Biomedical Engineering (3 units)
This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to learn how to work with health and medical professionals to better address the nation’s emerging health care challenges. Using Lean Startup Theory, this course provides a platform that can develop solution prototypes that match health care users’ needs in just weeks, rather than months or years. Students work with health care and industry professionals, including investors, who may provide follow-on funding to student teams for further refinement and development of solution prototypes.
