The application for the winter 2026 Critical Medical Humanities experience opens on September 29, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. and closes on October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.. Applications are reviewed on a first applied basis. 

The Critical Medical Humanities experience builds a strong foundations for promoting social equity in health care. Students earn UC Davis credit and complete the medical humanities minor in one quarter while participating in research or an internship with a local organization such as Asian Resources, Inc., California Department of Public Health, UC Davis Center for Healthcare Policy and Research, Elica Health Centers, Shifa Community Clinic and the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center.
